Plan the weekend✳
The before, during & getting home.
Coming in from out of town? You picked a good weekend to do it. Two Shpongle nights anchor everything, a Glitch Mob warm-up for the early arrivals, and Denver fills in the rest. Here's the shape of it:
Thursday · Oct 22
Arrive, settle, choose an orbit
Daylight: an arranged Threyda visit or a flexible RiNo mural wander. Contact the gallery before going; RiNo / Five Points is a natural area pairing for Cervantes.
Evening: check in, eat, then choose The Glitch Mob (8pm doors) or Spookadelia for interactive art. Each needs its own ticket.
Arriving late? Eat near your accommodation, settle in and rest. The weekend is still ahead; late-food options include D.P. Dough.
Leave breathing room: ending around 4:30–5pm is a suggested planning target, not an official cutoff. Allow time to get ready, eat and travel. Arriving later? Settle in and go straight to dinner.
Before doors: charge your phone and check the kit, including ID. The Fillmore prohibits marijuana in any form.
Night: Shpongle (Simon Posford Live Set) — doors 7pm; Supersillyus supports. 16+ with valid ID. Set and finish times are unconfirmed.
Leaving: breakfast near your route, or skip brunch for a very early departure. Snooze Union Station opens 6am (Sunday till 3:30pm); check its live waitlist. Ask your accommodation about luggage storage and collect your bags.
Before setting off: check your Oct 25 RTD trip, live alerts and transport backup. The A Line's approximately 37-minute train ride excludes waiting, hotel travel and airport processes; allow a full departure buffer.
Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons · Sunday Oct 25 · doors 5:30pm / show 7:30pm. Orchestral game music with visuals at an outdoor venue: a different musical evening, independently ticketed and not Shpongle-affiliated.
Plan transport both ways, outdoor layers and walking/access needs before booking. Price, seat availability and event-specific age conditions are unconfirmed here. No finish time or onward flight connection is promised.
Event and transport guidance checked Oct 18, 2026. About the concert.
Weekend additions checked Oct 18, 2026 against the linked operators: brunch hours, City O' City, Spookadelia and the Sunday concert. RTD's A Line background gives train travel time, not a guaranteed airport connection. Check live schedules, queues and admission before going.
The Fillmore Auditorium, 1510 N Clarkson St at Colfax Ave — home base for Friday and Saturday night. Doors 7:00 PM both nights; ages 16+ with valid ID. Supersillyus supports Friday and Random Rab supports Saturday. Set and finish times are not confirmed.
Thursday warm-upFor early arrivals
The Glitch Mob — Thu Oct 22
In town a night early? The weekend starts Thursday: The Glitch Mob with Madam X and Naasha at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom, playing a 360° in-the-round set in Denver's Five Points. An independently ticketed option for early arrivals, not an official Shpongle gathering.
No ticket yet? Start with the official seller, and check the giveaway before you pay resale prices. Both nights are billed as Simon Posford live, and there's a two-day pass if you're doing the full descent.
OfficialSingle nights + 2-day pass
Ticketmaster — the official seller
Friday Oct 23 and Saturday Oct 24 at the Fillmore: doors 7:00 PM, ages 16+ with valid ID. No admission under 16. Choose the exact night below; check the seller for current prices and availability. A two-day pass is also listed on the artist’s ticket page.
Party Guru advertises a pair of GA tickets for both nights, Oct 23 and 24. Its widget says the giveaway ends Oct 21, but its rules name Oct 20 for winner selection. Check the current rules and timing before entering; we cannot resolve that conflict. First-time entries subscribe to its newsletter. Travel and other expenses are excluded; a selected winner has 24 hours to respond.
Prefer in-person help? The box office at the venue sells tickets direct: Friday 12–6pm, and three hours before doors on event days through show time, according to Ticketmaster’s venue listing (checked Oct 17). Bring photo ID for pickup, and arrive early on show nights — the Colfax line forms fast.
The Fillmore’s entry guidance says tickets are mobile, not emailed or printed. If you cannot access yours, visit the box office with ID. Checked Oct 17, 2026.
The Denver Fillmore is a 1907 former ice rink turned concert hall at Colfax & Clarkson in Capitol Hill — a grand general-admission room, crowned with chandeliers and very serious about its sound. First time? Here's what to know before you walk up.
Where it is
1510 N Clarkson St, Denver, CO 80218 — that's East Colfax at Clarkson, in Capitol Hill (not the San Francisco Fillmore, not Red Rocks). Doors open at 7:00 PM both nights. These are 16+ shows: every guest needs valid ID, and under-16s cannot enter even with an adult. The floor is standing general admission.
Bag policy
Keep it small: bags up to 12″ × 6″ × 12″ are allowed, every bag is searched at the door, and non-clear bags get extra searching — which means a slower line. A small clutch beats a backpack, and there's no re-entry once you're in.
Parking & transit
The Fillmore says it does not own or operate parking, with limited off-site parking available for purchase and metered street parking nearby. The venue itself recommends rideshare or public transit — buses run straight down Colfax past the door. Whatever you choose, arrive early; Colfax on a show night is its own event.
Entry essentials
No marijuana in any form. Leave full-face costume coverings, hula-hoops, poi and glow sticks at home. Ask the venue about health masks or accessibility needs.
No outside food or drinks, including refillable or factory-sealed water bottles. Concessions and bars are inside; the venue is cashless and offers a fee-free cash-to-card exchange. Bring valid ID for admission as well as age-restricted purchases. Balcony and box seats exist above the GA floor, and accessible seating can be arranged in advance through the venue.
Doors-night tips: eat nearby first — Illegal Pete's or Pete's Kitchen if you're in a hurry, Steuben's Uptown or Ace Eat Serve if you're not (full rundown in Eat Near the Fillmore). Once you're in, hit the merch booth early — the popular sizes sell out long before the encore. And don't drift in late: the openers are worth the whole evening — Supersillyus on Friday and Random Rab on Saturday. Exact set times can change.
Ticketmaster confirms the Clarkson address. The Friday and Saturday ticket pages specify 16+ with valid ID. The venue defines their 7pm ticket time as doors; no opener, headliner or finish time is confirmed here. The countdown uses Denver time (MDT). The official bag and entry guidance and venue FAQ confirm the 12 × 6 × 12 inch bag limit, cashless payment, bottle prohibition, and no re-entry (checked Oct 17). Recheck the official venue before going. Urgent-care hours and the 24-hour NurseLine are listed in Survival Kit.

Meow Wolf lists both nights with doors at 9:30pm, show at 10:30pm, and a 2am finish for ages 21+. Its pages do not establish an official Shpongle affiliation. Any price range is an estimate; check current tickets.
The Fillmore finish time is unconfirmed. Meow Wolf lists a 2am finish for Danceportation. Either way, future-you deserves a plan made by sober, daylight you: check the full return trip and keep a backup.
Have a rideshare backup
After the shows, Uber and Lyft are options — availability, pickup times, and fares vary. If the app isn't on your phone yet, fix that before the show, not on a Colfax curb with 4% battery: Uber ride options → · Get the Lyft app →
Choose a clear pickup point
When the crowd leaves the Fillmore, pickup can get congested. Check the pickup point in your ride app and choose a well-lit place where the driver can legally stop. If moving away from the venue, check the route and your surroundings first. Compare the app's actual fare and wait; a cheaper ride is not guaranteed.
RTD: the honest version
The 15 and 15L serve East Colfax. Since September 27, they use the new center-of-Colfax stations between Broadway and Colorado Boulevard. Use the designated crossings and check your boarding station and direction in RTD before setting off. Last departures depend on your stop, day and connections; there is no verified blanket midnight–1am cutoff.
Set it up before doors
Save your hotel or rental's address as a favorite in the ride app before the show, while you still remember how addresses work. At 1am, getting home should be two taps and zero thinking — and keep the charger from the Survival Kit handy so the phone survives to make them.
Check official RTD schedules · Route 15. For a trip after midnight, enter Saturday Oct 24 after the Friday show, or Sunday Oct 25 after the Saturday show. Check the whole trip to your accommodation, including the last connection. A timetable service day can continue past midnight; use the trip planner for the actual calendar date. Your final ride is not confirmed by this guide.

Know the lore. Enter the eye.
The deep lore, for the lifers and the newly converted alike: how an eclipse in India invented a genre, who these two actually are, every album in order, where that face comes from, and the whole extended family tree. Historical details and credits are linked where available; some remain unverified.
Est. 1996Chobham, Surrey
It started with an eclipse
Shpongle’s origin story links a solar eclipse in India with Simon Posford and Raja Ram’s effort to rebuild the experience as sound. What came out was a 20-minute piece, “…And the Day Turned to Night,” which still closes the first album. Their early track, “Vapour Rumours,” appeared on TIP Records' Infinite Excursions compilation.
The name, per band lore: someone at a party asked Raja Ram how he was feeling, and he answered, “I feel… shpongled.” He has since defined it as an umbrella word for positive, euphoric feelings — which, honestly, tracks. The duo are credited as progenitors of psybient: traditional music from all over the world, vocals, flute, and western synthesizers bent into something Posford describes as “like nothing you've ever heard before.”
The division of labor has held for thirty years: Posford runs the synths, the studio, and the live instrumentation; Raja Ram brings the grand concepts and the flute arrangements. The debut's credits list Posford on synthesizer, guitar, and — officially — “rubber band, crisp packet, drips.”
Posford was working as a studio engineer at Youth's Butterfly Studios in Brixton when he built “LSD” — his first solo track there, released as a Dragonfly single in 1994 and later the opening shot of Hallucinogen's Twisted. He co-founded Twisted Records, the label this entire family lives on, and recorded the early Shpongle albums at his own Hallucinogen Sound Labs in Dorset. His grandfather George was a British composer and producer in the 1930s, so the studio thing runs in the blood.
Birthday watch: he turns 55 on October 28 — four days after night two. If the Fillmore feels extra celebratory that weekend, you'll know why. (It might not. But it could.)
Raja Ram — the flute half
b. 1941 · Melbourne, AustraliaThe silver flute
Born Ronald Rothfield, he left Australia on the hippie trail in the 1950s, studied flute at the Melbourne Conservatorium, then went to New York in 1965 to study jazz. He was a founding member of Quintessence, the London raga-rock band — he played flute at the first two Glastonbury Fayres, in 1970 and 1971. Two decades later he co-founded The Infinity Project and TIP Records, and became half of Shpongle: the concepts, the arrangements, the illustrations, and that silver flute.
Perspective: he is 84 years old, and turns 85 this December. These Denver dates are billed as Simon Posford Live; this guide does not confirm a Raja Ram appearance. The man's been doing this since before the Fillmore was the Fillmore — the building opened in 1907, and honestly it's close.

The catalogSix albums, one farewell that didn't take
Are You Shpongled? · 1998
The debut — seven tracks recorded in Dorset with Ott editing and compiling, from “Divine Moments of Truth” to the 20-minute eclipse closer. The big bang, basically.
The palette blows wide open — Spanish and East Asian instrumentation woven through the electronics, the mask gone watercolor over still water.

The resurrection — “Nothing Is Something Worth Doing” is built around Manu Delago's Hang. The sleeve’s serenity has a punchline: Storm Thorgerson’s trainee holy man is still practicing his levitation. Enlightenment, apparently, comes with wet laundry.
Also in the crates:Shpongle Remixed (2003) · the EPs Divine Moments of Truth (2000), Dorset Perception (2004), The God Particle (2010) and Carnival of Peculiarities (2021) · concert films from the Roundhouse (2008) and Red Rocks · Improvisations for Piano & Flute (2024), billed under Simon and Raja's own names · and remastered vinyl editions rolling out since 2017.

The faceThe Shpongletron
The face across the sleeves
The six-eyed face appears on Are You Shpongled?, Shpongle’s 1998 debut, and returns in changing forms across much of the catalog. Ineffable Mysteries takes a photographic detour: a would-be levitator over a lake, rather than another mask portrait. Explore the debut on Shpongle’s official release page.
On stage, the face becomes architecture. Zebbler Studios’ 2011 project surrounds the DJ booth with projection surfaces, two pairs of wings and a laser-shooting eye. Its Shpongletron 3 project page documents pixel-mapped LEDs and infinity mirrors on the 2014 tour. This is stage history; a Shpongletron return for Denver 2026 remains unconfirmed.
The galleryThe Art of Shpongle
Shpongle has never been a sound-only project. The mask is logo, totem, and stage set at once — the art is a map of the same territory the music explores, and at the shows it stops being packaging and becomes the room itself. Here's the visual canon beyond the sleeves (those live with the albums, up in The catalog): the face in its many forms, and the artists who keep reimagining it.
2026 tour artwork
The emblem watching over this weekend: part mask, part mandala, all Shpongle. This image appears in Shpongle’s 2026 US tour announcement. Artist and individual work title unconfirmed.
Android Jones's definitive take on the face: masks within masks within masks, portrait and circuit board at once. Jones is family — he's mixed live visuals for Shpongle, Denver shows included — and this is the piece the whole scene carries with it.

The image matches the standard-color artwork shown in the publisher’s Artist Edition listing: a linoleum-block print on Stonehenge paper. The separate purple colorway is a screen print. Those historical full-band performances are separate from the Simon Posford Live Set booking in Denver in 2026.
A later digital interpretation: in a 2003 artist-written note, Calx describes rebuilding the mask as a 3D mesh for a limited vinyl edition and the MiniDisc version. That is separate from the original CD’s sculpture and sleeve credits.
The mask as architecture — Zebbler Studios’ projection-mapped stage, with the laser eye firing over the booth. The studio documents the project for the 2011 tour. Its return this weekend is still a rumor; be emotionally prepared either way.
Historical collaborations, not a promised Denver 2026 cast. The official 2026 announcement bills a Simon Posford live set; these earlier projects do not confirm who or what will appear.
Sean Bowes made animated projection content; Zebbler Studios handled stage design and LED programming. Bowes dates his work to a 2013 debut and 2014 refresh; Zebbler’s Shpongletron 3 page labels 2014.
Nova Han Productions credits its Red Rocks work with art direction, production, costumes, props and sourcing performers.
Saori Kanda describes dancing while painting LIGHT, wearing an Amenouzume-inspired costume. UV and colored lighting transformed how the painting appeared.
Randal Roberts and Morgan Mandala — two pillars of modern visionary painting — take the face onto canvas: all tentacles, ruffles, and third eyes, grinning like it knows something.

Shpongle Live — the full band
The rare configuration
The duo, expanded: Michele Adamson and Hari Om on vocals, Pete Callard on guitar, a full rhythm section — up to a 12-piece ensemble. First live show: Japan, 2001. The full band sold out London's Roundhouse on Halloween 2008, made its US ensemble debut at Camp Bisco in 2011, and played Red Rocks in 2014. The two Red Rocks nights in May 2019 were announced as the last full public concerts. With these two, “last” has always been a flexible term.
The rest of the tree
Twisted family
Posford's lockdown solo album Flux & Contemplation (2020), his collaborations with Youth (Dub Trees, Celtic Cross), and Ott — the Twisted studio fixture who edited and compiled the debut and turned Hallucinogen into In Dub. One label, one Dorset studio, thirty years of strange fruit.
New here? Start with these: “Divine Moments of Truth,” “…And the Day Turned to Night,” “Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness,” “Dorset Perception,” “Around the World in a Tea Daze,” “Nothing Is Something Worth Doing,” “Brain in a Fish Tank” — and “A New Way to Say ‘Hooray’,” which smuggles in a Terence McKenna sample explaining DMT. Naturally.

The band's official site — news, tour dates, and the first place new drops and announcements surface. Bookmark it before the Oakland weekend turns into a group decision.
The label’s site — Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Cosmic Trigger and the extended family. Follow its release announcements and purchase links for official editions; check the destination for current availability.
A third-party catalog of Shpongle vinyl and CDs, for fans who still believe an album should be a thing you can hold. Start with the artist’s Bandcamp shop above; check individual listings, seller terms and availability before ordering.
Fan-made corner (unofficial, deeply beloved): the fans run a cottage industry and it is gloriously weird. Etsy’s general Shpongle search and its art-only search are changing marketplace results, not curated or verified stock. Examples from the original guide include the “Shpongleyes” tee, ice-dyed shirts and Tauritari’s UV-reactive tribute tapestry. Redbubble’s general search and sticker search are also unofficial; earlier examples include MarcoD mask stickers and “No Turn Unstoned” designs. Exact listings, creators and availability have not been reverified. Check the individual seller. Quality varies — but the love is load-bearing.
Opener educationKnow your openers
Doors are 7pm both nights; individual set times remain unconfirmed. Supersillyus and Random Rab are listed support. Cosmic Trigger is listening homework; his Denver appearance is unconfirmed. Do the homework (SoundCloud links first, as nature intended), arrive early, thank us later.
Supersillyus
Fri · Oct 23Cinematic psychedelic
Robert Uslan's one-man traveling circus: enormously layered, cinematic psychedelic electronica where every track plays like a short film with a plot twist. He's shared bills with Hallucinogen himself, so Friday's opening slot is family business — expect wormholes inside wormholes and left turns nobody saw coming. This is the on-ramp, not the waiting room.
Rab Clinton has been at this since 1998 — a veteran multi-instrumentalist with around a dozen albums of downtempo electronica built from real instruments, including The Geometry of Coincidence. He's famous for sunrise sets; Saturday he performs the same trick indoors, at night — a sunrise after dark, technically; his set time is unconfirmed. If Friday is the launch, Rab is the slow golden orbit before it.
Jamie Grashion is Twisted Music's resident producer and about as inside as it gets: he engineered at Youth's studio, became Posford's assistant, helped build the Shpongle Live shows — the legendary 2019 Red Rocks nights included — and got handed the keys to the catalog for the official Shpongle Remixed by Cosmic Trigger album. A Denver appearance has not been confirmed. Listen for the family resemblance. Start with his remixes of “Nothing Is Something Worth Doing” and “I Am You.”

What is confirmed, reported or still a rumor?
Checked Oct 17: Friday and Saturday list Simon Posford Live, with Supersillyus and Random Rab respectively. The artist’s tour page lists the following Oakland weekend.
Still unconfirmed: Shpongletron and the additional visual artists/performers. Giveaway conditions are summarized in Get Tickets; the organizer’s conflicting dates and current entry status remain unresolved. Instagram links below are profiles; they do not substantiate a particular post, quotation or booking. The original guide’s Oct 16–17 research claims are not a blanket verification of this feed. Source follow-up Oct 18: the undated quotation was removed because its original post could not be established; fan wishes and production rumors remain labeled.

Will the Shpongletron return?
The machine from the All Things Shpongle section may be rising again. Its return is unconfirmed here; be emotionally prepared either way.
Both nights are billed as Simon Posford Live. Ticketmaster lists Supersillyus on Friday and Random Rab on Saturday. Reports also name Cosmic Trigger and visuals by Johnathan Singer and Fractaled Visions; those additional appearances are unconfirmed. Plan arrival accordingly — the openers are not filler.
Possible appearances include Darshan Dance Company in UV-reactive costumes — blacklight ballet for your third eye — and artist @derangelized for live painting both nights. These appearances have not been confirmed here. If announced, expect art in real time, on and off the stage.
Party Guru advertises tickets for both nights, but its winner-selection dates conflict. See the checked details and entry conditions in Get Tickets before relying on it.
Add them to the wish list. Neither is confirmed here for this Denver weekend. The hunger is international and it is not subtle. Watch the band’s news feed for dated announcements.
The run doesn't end in Denver. The tour continues to the Fox Theater in Oakland the following weekend, Oct 30–31 — Halloween weekend, for everyone already doing dangerous math in their head on the flight home.
Keep your original weekend card, or choose a separate Friday or Saturday card with the same 24 Shpongle songs in a different order. Each card keeps its own stamps. These choices are not a predicted setlist. Hear it, daub it: tap a song, or print a card and borrow a pen. Complete a row, column or diagonal; the center is always free. First full line wins bragging rights wherever fans gather.
Switching nights never clears a card. Undo reverses your last stamp or reset on the selected card. Weekend preserves any stamps saved before this update. Song list view shows each square’s row (R) and column (C).
